Nebraska Partnership for Philanthropic Planning PO Box 81667, Lincoln NE 68501
The Nebraska Partnership for Philanthropic Planning is an association that improves our
community through a network of non-profit financial development executives and professional
advisors that serve donors. It does this by building awareness of charitable giving motivations
and techniques, expertise and cooperation in the planning process, and ethical practice in
charitable gift planning.
Founded in January of 1991 as the Planned Giving Officers of Nebraska, it merged in 1995 with
the Planned Giving Council of Omaha and became the Planned Giving Council of Nebraska.
Reflecting an evolution in how charitable and philanthropic work is done, it became the
NebraskaPPP in 2009. It is formally affiliated with the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning
(formerly the National Committee on Planned Giving) in Indianapolis.
The NebraskaPPP typically meets on the first Fridays of the month for educational
presentations and networking, and hosts PPP-produced Virtual Seminars from time to time and
a planned giving basics workshop annually. Members and guests are welcome at all of these
programming events.
From the President:
Measured by the educational content of our programming and the collegiality of our
membership, the Nebraska Partnership for Philanthropic Planning ranks among the country’s
top affiliates for our national organization, the Partnership for Philanthropic Planning located in
Indianapolis. Other larger affiliates around the country have noticed that we consistently
attract top presenters and timely topics for our educational programming here in Nebraska.
Often they ask us, “How do you do it?” The truth is simply that we are well-connected in our
industry and not afraid to ask.
To anyone who has a professional interest – or even passing one – in charitable gift planning, we
welcome you and hope we’ll get to know you. Please feel free to click through our web pages
to see the dedicated individuals who serve on our leadership, those firms who support our
efforts as underwriters and partners, and the talented practitioners we bring into Nebraska to
educate and inspire charitable giving in our midst.
We invite you to attend our meetings, get to know our members and the organizations and
firms they represent, and consider becoming part of the NebraskaPPP.
Welcome
Jim Gustafson, President 2009 – 2010
